• Western Red Cedar is popular because it’s attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means it’s often used in outdoor applications
• Select Tight Knot grade has knots, burls and naturally occurring markings which are of fairly uniform distribution and add to the decorative character of the piece
• Surfaced green – moisture content in excess of 19%
• Channel siding is a popular type of siding and is used whenever a rustic appearance is desired; smooth on 1 side, rough sawn on the other allows either look; the knots are sound and tight (not loose)
