• Western Red Cedar is popular because it’s attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means it’s often used in outdoor applications
• This Appearance grade is visually selected for less wane and fewer knotholes than grade No. 3 allows; No. 3 grade lumber is designed for use in construction where higher grade requirements are not needed; all pieces of this grade must be usable full length, therefore No. 3 combines usefulness with economical construction
• Surfaced green – moisture content in excess of 19%
• The board has been surfaced smooth on all 4 sides
