• Southern Pine lumber has been popular since Colonial times and consists of four main species: longleaf, loblolly, shortleaf and slash; design values for Southern Pine are comparable to other softwood species used in residential and commercial construction

• Pressure-treated with Chromated Copper Arsenate (CCA) to protect wood against deterioration due to termites and fungal decay; primarily used for industrial and marine applications, including agricultural posts and poles, and some builders prefer CCA lumber for poles and posts
• Natural round, taper; has not been milled to reduce the natural taper
