Description
A toggle switch has a lever type of actuator that makes or breaks the circuit contact when its position is changed. Double pole, double throw (DPDT) is a six terminal switch that controls two double-wire circuits, permitting only one circuit to be energized at a time. Or it can be used to control four single wire circuits, permitting only two circuits to be energized at a time. It typically operates two items simultaneously.
