The most basic and some would argue the finest scotch in the growing Glenmorangie family, ‘Original’ is a ten-year-old single malt matured in a combination of first and second fill American white oak bourbon casks including some made from the “Designer” oak that Glenmorangie wood managers purchased for this express purpose in the Ozark mountains of Missouri in the United States. Produced in Scotland’s tallest stills ‘Glenmorangie The Original’ is widely considered the gold standard of an approachable highland single malt with a creamy texture, strong butterscotch flavour, notes of honeyed vanilla and slight oak tannins.
