- Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made from residual wood fibers combined with a wax and resin binder and formed with high temperature and pressure; provides a dense board and a smooth clean finish; Ultralight MDF is produced from freish Radiata Pine providing in the same benefits as regular MDF with an approximate 30% reduction in weight
